Terms of Service
Last updated:
These are the terms for using Mente. By using Mente you agree to them. We try to keep them short and readable.
What Mente is
Mente is a free learning platform for mathematics, physics and preparing for Testovanie 9 and the maturita exam. The content is for study and practice. We aim for accuracy, but the content is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee any particular exam result.
Accounts
An account is optional - you only need one to save progress, XP and appear on the leaderboard. If you create one:
- Give a valid email address and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- An account is for one person. Do not impersonate anyone else.
- You can delete your account and its associated data at any time under Profile.
How Mente may and may not be used
To keep Mente fair and safe for everyone, do not:
- Interfere with the platform, bypass security limits, or game the XP and leaderboard systems or artificially inflate scores.
- Upload or share unlawful or abusive content, or content you have no rights to (for example in your own quizzes or on the board).
- Attempt to access other people's accounts or data.
Content you create
Some features (such as custom quizzes or the board) let you create and share content. That content stays yours. By sharing it through Mente you give us permission to store and display it as part of running that feature. You are responsible for the content you create; we may remove content that breaks these terms.
Tutoring
Tutoring is a separate, personal service arranged directly with the author of Mente. The platform does not offer online payments or subscriptions - any tutoring terms are agreed individually.
Intellectual property
The educational content, text, design and code of Mente belong to its author unless stated otherwise. You may use them for your own study. Do not copy or redistribute them at scale without permission.
Availability and changes
We develop Mente continuously, so features may change, be added or removed, and the service may not always be available. We may update these terms from time to time; when we do, we update the date above.
Liability
Mente is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from using or being unable to use the platform. Mente does not replace official study materials or any decision of a school or examination board.
